Dr. Daniel Seebacher
About me
Dr. Daniel Seebacher has been working as Lead Developer and Senior Data Analyst at Subsequent GmbH since 2021. In this role, he focuses on interdisciplinary collaboration as well as the conceptual design and implementation of customer projects based on optical tracking technologies, particularly in the areas of motion assessment, gait analysis, and sports.
Previously, he joined the Data Analysis and Visualization group led by Prof. Dr. Daniel Keim at the University of Konstanz in 2016 as a research associate and PhD candidate. He successfully completed his PhD in 2021 with his dissertation titled “Visual Analytics of Spatial Events: Methods for the Interactive Analysis of Spatio-Temporal Data Abstractions”. His research interests lie in the visual analysis of spatio-temporal events and their context, including practical applications such as analyzing the spread of invasive species, studying urban meteorological phenomena, or exploring player actions and interactions in sports like football and tennis. To date, he has contributed to over 40 peer-reviewed publications with more than 1,000 citations.
